Nothing ever fades that should
Valhalla is reserved only
For the worthy and good
The things of Hades creep
Climb out from underground
They never truly die

Like scars upon the body
Or upon the heart
They never truly die

But as for beauty, love, and I
The baby in my arms
The smile upon my face
Grows, withers, and departs
Like the last red rose of Summer
